Notes: Works 100% if firmware is changed from MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) to UMS (USB Mass Storage device.) However, the firmware updater application is only available on Windows, and the Clix version does not have an associated UMS firmware available. A Sourceforge project, libpmp (and its associated app easypmp,) helps with administration such as rebuilding the music database. Update: changing firmware from MTP to UMS breaks picture importing ability. The device stores JPEG images as two separate files, neither one can be made by the GIMP. Picturelists are in a special binary format.
