Texas Instruments ACX-100 chip based

Hardware That Doesn't Work with Linux

The Wifi cards TI ACX 100 and TI ACX 111 cards

The sourceforge project for drivers for these cards have come a long way recently (2004-12).

I wouldn’t recommend them due to poor vendor support.

Last time I tried the ACX111 caused a denial of service on a remote Orinoco 802.11b card, so some interoperability issues remain, but the driver does seem to basically work and is probably fine for home use with 802.11b networks. The ACX100 is suppose to be better supported by the same driver, but I don’t have one.

In summary don’t buy, but if you have one don’t abandon hope either.
