Notes: The Netgear WG511 that is made in Taiwan does work. It’s easy to tell, as the location where the card is manufactured is on the box.

While you’re waiting for full Free functionality, please note that this card is easy to configure with ndiswrapper and the Windows driver. See http://ndiswrapper.sf.net for details. Works well under Debian Sarge and Fedora Core 4.

I’ve been using a WG511 without problems for years. Do you have the proper firmware version? I had to mess around a lot with the firmware before everything loaded correctly, but it’s great now.
