The driver for winXP is yk51x86.sys This is the onboard nic of the Gateway 700GR, and has not worked for any distro I’ve tried (I try tons of them), including Suse 9.3 (latest one tried). -bhsx

I have this card and it works on Ubuntu with the hoary 2.6.10 kernel PROVIDING one downloads and compiles the latest vendor sk98lin driver- (8.18.2.2 (beta)) -rk

I have this cards embedded into my Toshiba Satellite M45-S331 notebook and Ive also not been able to get this to work. –Nugsolot

The syskonnect sk98lin driver is crap and therfore, I wrote a new one sky2.c that is in 2.6.15-mm kernel’s and should be in 2.6.16; it should be Gentoo and possibly Ubuntu Dapper release, and RHEL 4. will be 6 to 8 months until it makes it out in distributions. -sch

I’m currently using a Toshiba Satellite M45-S359 notebook, and as of Ubuntu Dapper, the sk98lin drivers are working right “out of the box”. -cb
