Creative X-FI

Hardware That Doesn't Work with Linux

Model number: unknown

Chipset: 1102:0005

Not working (Completely new hardware)

as of May 18, 2006, Creative ‘plans’ to make proprietary (closed source) drivers available for the X-Fi series of sound cards in the second quarter of 2007. These drivers will have full support for ALSA (playback, recording, mixer, MIDI, synthesis) and OpenAL 1.1 (with EAX effects).

Limited support for Linux as of 1.0.21 of alsa. The Linux 2.6.31 kernel also includes 1.0.21 of alsa, so there should be limited support in addition with the 2.6.31 kernel.
