Asus ASB100

Hardware That Doesn't Work with Linux

Manufacturer: Asus

Chipset: ASB100 (a.k.a. “Bach”)

Reason: Datasheet not available

Functionality: 80% (works but some features are missing)

URLs for more information: http://www2.lm-sensors.nu/~lm78/cvs/lm_sensors2/doc/chips/w83781d http://www2.lm-sensors.nu/~lm78/cvs/lm_sensors2/doc/chips/asb100

Notes: The ASB100 being somewhat compatible with the Asus AS99127F, for which partial support is available, it was possible to write a driver, but some features are missing. PWM support (fan speed control) exists but is probably not as good and complete as it could be. Thermal sensor type selection, which this chip supposedly supports, is missing. There are also issues with some limits (values between which measured values are considered correct) and alarms (flags raised when measured values are outside of the defined range).
